Jason is a freelance copywriter. (Clients: HeartMedia, Comedy Central, PlayBuzz, BuzzFeed)
He was a Creative, Creative Manager, and Senior Creative Lead at BuzzFeed from 2013 to 2018. During his tenure, Jason wrote hundreds sponsored posts, including one of their first viral, branded quizzes. He also spent several years managing teams of creatives, eventually overseeing branded quizzes and helping launch BuzzFeed's pop quiz ad product. He also penned the mildly infamous “Do You Still Have A Job At BuzzFeed?”, which which was written up by The New York Times, Splinter News, Betches, and more.
From 2009 - 2012 he was a copywriter at Havas Worldwide. His work for the Dos Equis campaign won a stupid number of awards. Other clients included: Durex, d-CON, Air Wick, Lysol, Resolve, Charles Schwab, and Heineken. He graduated with a degree in advertising from The University of Texas at Austin in 2009.
Jason is also on a sketch team at UCB Theatre. He's written for Comedy Central, Reductress, Queerty, and more. He was a 2017 UCP Pitch Fest finalist, and Vulture Comedy described his work as, "a perfect mix of the simple and the absurdly complex." Check out more of his sketch comedy.
